I dont know where this week has gone!! This was supposed to be posted at some point during the week about our weekend last weekend, and all of a sudden it is this weekend and the time has run away from me…….
Lounging with your feet up watching The Great Gatsby while Daddy plays flying with the girls in front of the fire. (Can we just talk about how amazing this film is? how much hotter is Leo now he is a bit older, the bit where he turns and says “I’m Gatsby” literals made me swoon!!!)
Sleeping. Amelie is in her own room now complete with canopy (temporary until the nicer fabric arrives!) and vile peppa pig bedding and wall stickers. I HATE character stuff with a passion but *touch wood* the addition of Peppa bedding and stickers have so far resulted in 3 full nights sleep without multiple wake ups.
Playing on the iPad. Checking my photo stream today has yielded multiple selfies with even Cora and Luis getting in on the action. (did you see the Oscars selfie?
fully amazing, I want to go to the Oscars/be famous/have my head be the biggest part of my body/be friends with Ellen)
Remembering. It has been 3 years this weekend just gone since Mr Clevs dad, Grandad George passed away. This photo is up in the house anyway but I had it on the counter in the kitchen with a candle by it. The boys remember him but Amelie was a baby when he passed. We told stories and recounted memories but my favourite was from Maxi who said “Maybe Grandads heart stopped working because his inside Xbox timer ran out”.
Thinking. I love relaxing on a Saturday morning (my designated lay in day) and reading articles on my iPad. I usually start with the Daily Mail sidebar of shame, then move on to elephant journal (loved this article on ‘yelling or not yelling’) and a few others to just get some inspiration and affirmations, the extra sleep, relaxation and copious amounts of tea sets me up for the week ahead.
All in all a low key one here, as they all usually are. My car is broken (the bad kind where you have to weigh up if its worth keeping the car and fixing or just getting a new one) so we are using the Micra to schlep our family of 7 around, I will leave you with that mental picture!
