I am thankful that I am a stay at home mum. I wouldn’t want to miss out on moments like Cora smiling for the first time.
Or moments like the one above….”come quick mummy petal is dead” can you guess which one is petal?? Hehe!! They sure do keep me on my toes.
Because we have never had two incomes we don’t know any different, we have always lived on one. We have never missed money through me going on maternity leave or things like that. Mr Clevs salary has luckily increased on a pretty fast timescale, as has his career progression. Now we are by no means rich, and in all honesty our financial situation would be greatly improved by a second income, just we make the decision that it’s silly to pay a huge amount of money monthly to have someone else look after our children, for a minimal financial gain (I do not have the skills to pull in the megabucks that we would need to cover childcare for 5 children!) and we also believe that it’s more beneficial for our family and our children to have one parent at home.
I hope that I am able to stay home with the children at least until they are a lot older (like I might get a job when they move out!!! I wish,) I guess you never know what’s going to happen and if that would be possible so today I am thankful that at the moment I am able to be a stay at home mum. And I am thankful for little lighthearted moments that brighten the day as let’s face it smiles and dead plastic horses are a nice distraction from washing, cooking, and nappy changes!!!
