The above video is what we sent to our family to reveal the gender of baby number 5!
I had my scan yesterday at Galway Hospital. The hospital is actually 1 hours drive away from my house, if the traffic is good. I mean, can you imagine?!
I might transfer to another hospital closer to home in Ballinasloe, however bambino is due when the annual Horse Fair is on. Which is basically a big fat gypsy gathering where travellers from all over the world come and race horses, trade horses, drink, and wear very little clothing with bad fake tans.
Talk about rock and hard place – take the half an hour drive but risk leaving hospital to find our car has been replaced with a pony and trap, OR do the 1 hour drive and risk having a baby at the side of the road. Ok thats a bit dramatic but you get the idea!
The scan went really well, we were convinced we were having a boy so our jaws hit the floor to be told of another girl! three girls in a row. The first thing she said was “sure you better start savin’ for all those communions and weddin’s”, not wrong either as they will go to school one year after the other, so will make their communions 3 in a row!! crikey!!
We were thinking of ways to tell the kids and cupcakes were the best one we could think of, I just baked plain buns and scooped out the middle and refilled with pink icing, then white iced the top. It was very cute watching their reactions, although as you can see by the video Luis isnt overly impressed, and Maxi doesnt really have a clue whats going on.
If one more person says to me ‘maybe the next one will be a boy’ then they will get a slap! Mr Clev has requested the new Xbox for Christmas, but he is actually getting a vasectomy…..ssshhhhh dont tell him though!!!
