7 years ago today we looked like fresh faced little babies!!!
|At my mums wedding December 2005|
7 years ago today Luis was our only child and was nearly 15 months old, just taking his first few steps and chatting away in that cute ‘gagablahblahgogogogo’ kind of way.
|When we were three|
7 years ago today we stood next to each other and made promises to stay with each other through sickness, health, better, worse, richer and poorer.
7 years ago today what I really meant was sticking with my husband in health, better and richer and 7 years ago today we had no idea just how much what we actually said would be tested in years to come!!!
7 years ago today we joined a group of friends and family for a meal celebrating our nuptials.
7 years ago we had no idea just how much that group would change, we lost members, gained new members and welcomed some back into the fold!
7 years ago today we had no idea that one day we would have FIVE children.
7 years ago today I told Mr Clev if we ever had a daughter her name would be Tallulah Sunday, Sunday after our wedding song (instead we have Amelie Sunday and Vivienne Tallulah, compromise!)
7 years ago today we drank sambucca shots, ate Krispy Kremes and danced into the night.
7 years ago today we started on this journey of ours.
If I could go back 7 years ago today I would tell myself this…
Marriage is hard, you have to wake up and show up to make it work, you will have times of deep sorrow, regret and hurt, but times of elation, joy and happiness….it doesn’t mean you marriage is any less valid – its just the way of life!! Ignore those who say it will never last, its none of their business, you dont need toxic people in your life, even if they are related to you. Love your husband, and be honest with him when he annoys you, resentment is a terrible thing to carry around. Bring your strengths to this relationship and accept your faults – let him do bedtime, you suck at that, you can do the finances and planning, you ace that. Never forget that as well as a mother you are a wife too, you need your husband and he needs you – just differently. Tell the people that you love just how much you love them, you can never say it enough!
Happy 7 year anniversary Mr Clev!
